Ordered take out and when i went to pick it up i was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The estimated time for pickup was spot on and i didn’t need to wait. The burritos were huge! The food is super delicious and fresh. You can taste how fresh the cilantro is in the guac and the tortillas are fresh too. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back again!
Delicious tacos, friendly employees, fast service. I stopped in for lunch around 1pm and ordered al pastor and veggie tacos and an order of chips and guac. The food was made to order, and I received it less than 10 min after ordering. Both tacos were delicious; al pastor was the standout. Guac was also great. It seemed like purely avocado (no sour cream mixed in like some big chains are known to do). I’d absolutely return and recommend. Thank you!
I ordered the quesabirria tacos for me and my wife. We have had other items from here and they were all fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the carne asada burrito from a previous order. The people there are great and very friendly. The quesabirria tacos are delicious and very flavorful. The sauce to dip the tacos in is very good, too. I highly recommend El Compa to anyone that likes tacos and burritos. It is a great newer place in Eagan.
The food was really fresh. Good and lots of flavor. The man at the register was nice and helpful and had an amazing attitude.
Great fast-casual spot in Eagan! Ordered the quesabirria tacos and chicken nachos—both had tender meat and great flavor. The birria was especially good, with a generous amount of meat, and the nachos had sturdy chips that held up well to all the toppings. The only downside was the drink selection, which is limited to bottles and cans. The worker (possibly the owner) was very friendly, and service was excellent overall.
I loved the Street Tacos. Barbacoa & Carnitas are pictured. We had the chips,salsa & guacamole. We were so hungry we ate half before I realized I hadn't taken my picture. lol. The salsa was a different consistency but very flavorful. My husband had one of the burritos and it is large enough for two people. We will definitely return. It's within walking distance for us.

Loved our meal here! Reasonable prices, fresh tortillas, and large portions. The el compa sauce was a delicious addition. The service was fast and the workers were very kind. We will definitely be back!
Tldr; Great taco meat options for the price. All 3 meats were great. Ask for double shells if that's your thing. Didn't bring hot sauce with basket so ask for it at the register. I'm going back for more! Definitely the best Mexican restaurant I've found in Eagan by far. Caveat being I only tried the Street tacos (chicken, carne asada, carnitas) because every Mexican place has them and is a good place to compare. They were all fantastic. Usually I order double shell because corn falls apart, but these held up well for solos. Seating is decent but if it's busy you might get it to go. Prices are up there at $4 a taco, but tbf that's close to cities prices and they stuff the tacos with a lot of meat. I felt like I got my city money worth easily. I look forward to coming back and trying other things people recommend!
If you live or are in the area and like Chipotle come here instead. They make the tortillas fresh on the spot and you can taste the difference. Everything on the menu looks great but we had the California burrito and the nachos. We were not disappointed! So much flavor! We can't wait to get back and try more of the menu.
